I'd rather be out catching no seatrout than hoveringTanglerat wrote:Bit early to be going after sea trout? I wait till mid April onwards.

But there's plenty of other species you can target not to catch rather than the poor old exhausted, spent sea trout that's just returned from sexing it up in the river, needing to bulk up and recover fighting trim. Those fish are in a precarious state, give them time and they'll be in shape again by late spring. Play one out at this time of year and you could exhaust it to the point of death, even if you do C&R.
That's how they are up here anyway, whatever about the SE.

Re: lure supplier
keep in mind to stay on the right side of the law as well lad, during the off season you are not to target seatrout even with a valid license - and with this lure on you might be dancing on very thin ice trying to convince the bailiff - just take this as a well meant word of advice, alright?

Re: lure supplier
that's more or less repeated what I have suggested above if you've read the entire thread carefully - and btw, just make sure he doesn't forget the off limit rules for seatrout as well mate, just saying alright? Sometimes I have the feeling you cant mention these things often enoughyellow peril wrote:Nobody that I know of sells them in cork Henry's in Dublin is the place to get them

Hayes tackle/bike shop on south main st in Wexford town sell them if that helps.
