hi lads reports that the poolbeg is trowing up lots of mackerl, hard to get a spot down there as the wall is full of anglers,

There also been caught off dunlaoire west pier the elbows are better to fish to avoid most mackeral bashers

Go down to the light house on an early tide and you will have the place to yourself.

poolbeg i always find a disaster to fish way too crowded for my liking iv fished it many of time before you would need a hard hat in mackeral season lead weights going from every angle an if your bringing in fish theres people casting over where you were fishing i steer clear of that place now

I have being down at the light house nice an early and the place does be empty, its to far a walk for most people.
