ok my fishing box finally took one ass whipping to many and the plastic broke that keeps the lid closed :lol: besides putting a strap around the box has anyone any clever ways of keeping the lid secure to keep all my gear from spilling out???????????????????????????

use one of the bungy cords with the hooks at both ends. just wrap it around once and hook the hooks together maybe!

Any photo of the box only.

You could drill holes on each side of the box and lid and whip it with plastic ties

you could try some of the clips that are used to keep cupboard and wardrobe door shut,use the plastic one only

Same thing happened 2 mine, but as i have had mine 2 long, many good memories, hard 2 bin it.. Drilled a hole the size of a bungy cord hook in the top of the lid that usually wend down under the clasp that held the box closed, then just wrapped one end 2 the Breakaway back rest, underneath the box and in thru the hole, works a treat 8)

its only a few years old so i wont be buying a new one ! i think i,ll have to get inventive in my shed and re design the closing bit to ensure it wont happen again :lol: so after i,m finnished i,ll prob need a new box :lol: :lol:

secure a magnet onto the front, make a little hinge on the top of the box and glue a few coppers onto the hinge. Sorted :D
2011 species: pollock,mackeral,coalfish,whiting,codling,conger,flounder,dogfish,pouting.Not bad for my first few months fishing :)

2012 species: Coalfish (13), Bass (1), Rockling (5), Ballan wrasse (2), Pollock (57), Dogfish (8),
