Everyone will have their own favourites. Some will have different lines for fishing and casting.
For fishing i use suffix tritanium in .35m. Very good line and reasonably priced at about €9 for 1100m.

I use 30 lb Power Pro braid on all beachcasters . I got it on www.ebay.com for 19 euros for 300y. Its much cheaper then here.

Suffix synergy 14lb , loads well and casts well with very little memory as its nice and supple . I found it was better for clean ground but still gave a good account for itself in Monkstown. Im a big fan off Berkely big game for the fixed spool and fairs very well over rough ground.

Suffix lines are excellant, don't think id be using the 0.30mm 14lbs on anything other than clean ground.A line that ive found to be very tough and casts well is the stren stamina gold or coral,it around .37mm for 15lbs so decent enough with mixed ground venues and it does cast nicely too.

Sufix Tritanium 19lb 0.35mm will get my vote here.
After using about 4 different budget lines, Tritanium is far away from other cheap stuff !

And keep your eye on Sufix, not Suffix lines, the last ones can be cheap china copies of Sufix ;)

using shimano line at the moment as i got a free spool and it good on the multi and fixed spool,to be honest it wouldnt be my normal choice but i may buy again.(depending on price)
i normally use f1 tritanium 15 lb ,for braid i like spiderwire code red and power pro ,to be honest it,s all personal choice one line i dont like for fishing is ultima distance ,not a hardwearing line for fishing
thinner line goes futher ,stick 30 lb mono on a reel and you,ll see the result

Using Spiderwire 65lb green braid on the Fixed spools at the minute and Teklon Gold superstrong mono on the Multis. Both cut through weed like butter and have reduced my tackle losses dramaticly.

As said before though its a personal choice however I like the thinner the better. Thats why I use the Teklon Gold. You get a lot more breaking strain per line thickness than any other mono I know

Monty.
