Mullaghmore Beach, Co.Sligo 31st October

Fished for three and half hours for 2 sea trout (both returned) and a rather late season mackerel. Not a flounder in sight which was very odd although the surf was really big, seemed calmer towards the harbour and maybe would have picked them up there. All fish took mackerel strip at around 45 yards.

Seen a few mackerel being taken from the main pier in Killybegs on Monday evening.
