Is it length that counts?

I was wondering if anyone can shed a bit of light or has any ideas on why when I was fishing last week did the fish only feed from the bottom snood on any of my rigs?I was using the exact same baits on each but it was only the lowest one that got touched. There was NOTHING on any of the upper snoods at all. I altered hook sizes to 4 and left the bottom one at 3/0.I shortened the length the other snoods to about 12 cm but left the bottom one at about 20cm and still this was the only one that anything was feeding off.
Any advice or ideas on why this happened would be appreciated

lower your rod angle/rod tip so that your upper snood will touch the ground.hope this help to you

I can honestly say most of the fish I have caught have being on the botton hook/snood of the rig I was using. It may be because its on the ground and the others are at different height in the water. Look online at the different types of rigs you can use for botton fishing.

funny thing in greystones harbour 95% of fish will take the top two snoods with rockling and scorpian fish taking the bottom,and the higher your top snood the more takes you get on it ,i suppose its all down to target fish and the ground you fish over ,i often fish 6 inch snoods if bites are all low keeping baits close to the bottom whiting can savage all three hooks in minutes ,where as long ones often come in with the top hook untouched in fishing the one rule you should always remember is" their aint no rules "
