Tides to fish whiterock killiney ?

#1 Post by SeanM »

Gonna give whiterock in killiney a go for flounders this month so need to know whether to fish a rising or dropping tide for them and does it matter if its a neap tide or a big tide ?

had flounder on the rise and fall there depends on the day. frozen black and a little bit of mussel used to work for them in jan/feb so worth a shot.

fished it last week from high down to low into darkness. not a tap until last cast. whiting and a rockling. was getting afew nibbles but taught it was crab. i put enough lug on to cover the shank and it seemed to work. no flats at all maybe try the rising tide at night.
