owenahincha cork.Worth a try ?
Hello all.I was taking a drive back from three castle head down west cork over the weekend and stopped at owenahincha.It looked like a decent mark.Would anyone have any info on it ?

Its a good spot with bass, flounder and coalies on it.There might even be a few cod and dogs on it at the moment as they are on the nearby beaches. Best fished at night

Cheers bud.I stopped at red strand for a bit as well and got chatting to a lad fishing.He was saying he has only ever taken coalies but that he doesn't fish it that much.I was thinking of hitting it early morning but if you think night might be better I'll start a tad earlier.

i would say well worth a try
i fished the strand next to it on sunday eve and had two bass and missed lods of bites
using lugworm

Yeah the night is best. Most of the beaches around the area are poor during the day but plenty of fish at night.
If you bring lug maddies and fish baits you will catch plenty.

Sorry, just caught up with this post. Yes< give it a go. Also try Long strand next beach along towards the end.
