Yeh Whiting. The Weevers are nasty, evil looking feckers. Their lower jaw protrudes over the top one like theyre out of it on disco biscuits and looking for a scrap!

Hi JP, hope all is well, long time no see! If you're planning to get out this year again for a bit of crack on the westcoast drop me a line, I really enjoyed the trip last year!Rampent Wreckfish wrote: WTF is an English Whiting?????????
Anyway, back to topic, I freely added the 'English' bit aiming to try to avoid confusion with various other whiting species from around the globe. Not saying we will encounter any of them here, nevertheless I have seen a few exotic examples cropping up in replies or on a promotional link to an east coast boat hire site just a few days ago. I'm well aware that you are highly familiar with all the finer details, despite being classified here as an 'First Time Angler'
