I fished Ross on Fri and Sat nights, but was just after sea trout and using sand eel. There were two of us and over the two nights we had 5 sea trout and one small dog, all the trout were returned and were spent.

There was another fellow fishing at the start of the beach on Sat night he had a few small flats and some coalies, he was using lug for bait.

I was down that way yesterday and saw several guys fishing with lures but none reported any bass ,one guy had a few spent trout OK. It would seem that the bass have gone off somewhere I would say they have gone after some bait fish and have stayed out where they followed them to, a good blow might get them back in again as there is nothing at this time to make them come back in again. I should be back sown to try some night again and will let you know how things go if I do go.
