Dollymount beach or bridge ?

#1 Post by SeanM »

Ok so im planning a trip soon to get out of the house and need to know whether to fish Dollymount beach or the wooden bridge when after flounder. The only thing turning me off the beach is the shallow water which goes about a mile out ! I was thinking of fishing where the big statue is at the top of the north wall and cast out on to the beach but really not sure so need a bit of advice.

your best bet would be to go down to our ladies statue ..start fishing to the right towards dublin port ..still shallow here but more water than towards the beach..then when the tide reaches the first shelter start to fish the beach side ..ive had some good flounder on both sides but its been a few years since i fished that particular spot
