Fishing in Youghal

#1 Post by BLUEBIRD »

I'm fishing in Youghal on Saturday. I've never fished there before! Can anybody tell me where I should fish? Any hot spots?

Theres a good few spots, the beach front, ferrypoint on the waterford side of estuary, the carpets aka coalyard where the ship docks, the slob bank , all capable of throwing up a crackin session and a ton of weed, peeler crab a must and the weaker tides fish that bit better and easier to hold bottom,,,, good luck
Species....good film.....I'll get my coat

all them marks that sean has said are very good also green pk is another mark worth checking out it right across from the walther reiligh hotel but all mark down there fishing is best done into dark on a rising tide except ferrypoint fishes best on the drop also into darkness

Good point Alan ans Sean but the green park is very comfertable to fish from but if you need some shelter from a heavy wind go to the carpets aka the harbor thee is a lot of weed on the drop and darkness on the rise is best and FRESH peeler is a must. Enjoy
