Chest waders?

#1 Post by Sweetwrasse »

Just looking for some advice/recommendations on chest waders. Looking to buy a pair and was thinking of either daiwa or sonik neoprenes? Will be used for sea and freshwater. Any recommendations or tips much appreciated. Looking for a reasonably priced pair (€120 max) that would stand a bit of punishment.
It ain't easy but it sure is simple!

Bought a pair of those Hardware chesties about 3 weeks ago as my daiwa's packed in after years of abuse. Went for these primarily because they have pinch clips on the shoulder harnesses as I really don't like those velcro straps that are on nearly all chesties now. Cant fault them at all tbh, especially at only £70. Nice a comfortable, good big front pocket, nice robust boots and a nice and stealthy dark grey, well pleased :D

Bought a pair of Abu Chest Waders from the lads in Courtown. Lasting very well and have had plenty of abuse in the snow over Christmas 2009 & 2010. If any issue at all with them they are possibly a small boot size. Clips on the shoulder straps rather than velcro. Try them on before buying them.
Good luck.
