west coast bass???????????

after my cod quest in the west.. im going to start my bass quest never had one on the west coast.eg from barna to clifden.... any ideas welcome...........
SHORE SPECIES 2012... coalie,

boat species09~~~pollack,cod,haddock,whiting,doggies,bullhuss,tope,john dory,thornebsck,blonde,blue shark,spur dog,wrase,gunnard,pouting,

shore species 2010~~~ dab,flounder,thorneback ray,pollack,plaice,coalies,turbot,wrasse,bull huss, lsd...

boat trips 4 result..pouting,, spurdog.pollack,
shore trips 2010.... 36.....

wish list 2010..sea trout....

Keep going and head round to Clare for your best chance

ha mate you hit the nail right on the head clare would be the best bet, but have heard of bass been caught this side but never seen any ........ but i wont find out unless i try......

ah you will find them alan.surely with all those bays and estuarys around that area are bass hotspots.if we get them odd few up around mayo surely there around you there

a specimen was caught out in ballyconneelly 3 or 4 years ago - it was in the book

hi Alan there is a odd bass around ballyconneelly and clifden,I was told about a lad getting 7 small bass out in ballyconneelly about 3 years ago and last year a fellow saw a good size one swimming by the rock he was fishing on

they are in clifden bay as well,I lost one around the 3lb weight from the north side of the bay near Slopers Cliff2 years ago
I was also talking to a few ould lads that said that out by the old diving board was very good for them a few years ago
