mono v fluoro v braid ?

i've being fishing sandy beaches north dublin only a couple of months
picked up a rod and reel cheap and has done the job nicely
but was wondering how long the line should last
maybe time to replace line
if so where to start ......
only been fishing using baits crab lug rag eg...
haven't got into lures spinning yet
so mono v fluoro v braid ?

any advice cheer thanks... :) :) :)

your probably best sticking to mono, braid can be a nightmare, especially on a cheap reel due to line lay and fluro isnt really used in saltwater unless its for hook lengths.
buy yourself a spool of suffix tritanium in .35mm. this is a very good line and should cost around €9 for a spool of it. you should be able to fill the reel 3 times out of it so around €3 a fill.

have you tried ultima power steel? its mono / fluro hybrid so to speak easy to handle like mono with lack of stretch of fluoro ? fine for clean beaches but a bit delicate for rough stuff,i was using it till the recession :lol: its a bit pricey :|

anyone else use the ultima power steel ?? need to get new line for my reel when it comes was gonna have a spool of mono and one of braid might ditch the braid for that stuff do but some reviews arent the best ? :? will mainly be beach fishing and the likes of monkstown

edit;most of the reviews of the heavier line are actually quite good :D

for anyone else wondering, i ended up getting ultima F1 line its dear enough but dead happy with it so far :mrgreen:
