You should talk to the misses and get permission to go tomorrow night. With her cousins husband! And both head to Wicklow. You'll need to convince your misses to convince his misses though.
Then you can get a few fish and try out the new reel;)
Plenty of flats about, small strips of mack will do the job, rockling the odd coalie, havent seen a bass in a few months, forget what they look like, fished baltray a few weeks back and there was flounder to 42cms being caught, dont know whats its like lately. Pin still plentiful aswell. Lug will do the job aswell but i find mack working the best the last few months.
W as out in Mornington today from 9am-4pm not a tap, the dredger Lough Foyle was in the entrance of the Boyne clearing out, I was using Lug, Razor, Peeler, Mack, Mussel & various combos on various rigs ranging from flappers, clip downs, single long snood clipp down, pulleys, fishing three rods, with the bro in law fishing one and spinning another, NOT A TAP, not even crabbed, whats happened out there anyone know? was fishing different distances aswell and trolled at one stage to see if I could spark any interest, this is my sixth time out there in various weather and seasons, including tide times (even went out 4am in the summer with peelers) and not a single hitWas out in Mornington today from 9am-4pm not a tap, the dredger Lough Foyle was in the entrance of the Boyne clearing out, I was using Lug, Razor, Peeler, Mack, Mussel & various combos on various rigs ranging from flappers, clip downs, single long snood clipp down, pulleys, fishing three rods, with the bro in law fishing one and spinning another, NOT A TAP, not even crabbed, whats happened out there anyone know? was fishing different distances aswell and trolled at one stage to see if I could spark any interest, this is my sixth time out there in various weather and seasons, including tide times (even went out 4am in the summer with peelers) and not a single hit
