After last winters great sessions around youghal and beyond i really thought this season would show bigger fish but after been putting the hours in the last few weeks seems pretty much same size range codling as last year most between 1-5lb, of course theres always the odd exception as every year but anyone notice more bigger fish around :?:

Fair play to you seanie at least your getting the cod we are still waiting.... a trip down the south in order asap
Species 2012: Flounder, Whiting, Dublin Bay Codling, Coalie, 3 Beard Rockling, Shore Rockling, Bass, Dogfish, 5.2lb Starry Smoothhound (PB), Twaite Shad, Thornback Ray 5.8lbs (PB), LSD, Pollock, Ballan Wrasse, Cork Wing Wrasse, 43cm Flounder (PB)

Species 2013: Coalie, East Coast Codling, Smoothounds, And hopefully a back opp to get back fishing soon...

patience is a virtue :lol: :lol: im planning on a 15lb plus fish in the coming weeks 8) and im not gonna be happy if he dont appear :x im finding fish to be bigger this year than most other years have seen plenty fish from 5lb to 8.5lb landed already and have seen first hand 2 fish that were lost trying to land them that were easily 10lb plus :oops:

I lost two good sized fish the weekend before last one showed and dove snapping my mainline leader link .
2013 species : coalies,flounder(pb),whiting,dogfish,5 beard rockling
2012 species : cod,whiting,coalies;flounder,5 beard rockling,bass,dogfish,dab

Us anglers on the blessed east coast use 1 to 5 lb'ers as bait :lol: :lol:

They way you lads in Cork are getting the decent runs, wont be anything up here!!! :D , nothing up in Dublin yet of any great numbers, and not for the want of trying :(

If ur not happy with the 1-5 pounders give em directions to dublin and put em back,we'll swap our plague of pin whiting for them any day :D
