Rod tube recommendations or construction.

#1 Post by Ric0shay »

Last question so lads and ill leave ye alone then until I can find something else to bend the ear off ye.

I got no tube with the new rod and I have a 12ft and a bass and small lure rod that I bring with me just in case the situation calls for it.At the most ill have 3 with me at a time.Is there a case I could get to hold them ?

Or I was thinking a 4" pipe with a blank end and a screw on top but I couldn't think of a way to pad it out.Any Ideas ?

Ye should get a rod holdall Ric0shay, far easier to carry if ye have a bit of a walk and ye can attach tripods, beach tents etc to the outside of them. Ye could use the plastic pipe but your rods would be sliding up and down inside of them when putting them in or out.
Good things come to those who bait.

As said a good holdall is a must , all the brands do them and cost from 30 euro up . You can also get hard cases but these are mainly for flying etc. The holdall is a fantastic buy and if you have several rods its great to keep them together and out of the way when the missus is on a cleaning rampage .
