Congers - Westport area

#1 Post by Cormdogg »

Hi Lads
In Westport for a few days, packed all the gear, two rods, forgot both my reels! but I have my boat gear with me so was thinking I might try for a conger from pier/rock so can anyone recommend a spot? PM please, Forgot my headlamp too but I'll try pick one up.

I was thinking of putting my boat reel on the beach caster but I know from past experimenting it will lead to extreme bird nesting!!! ;)

Thanks

Cormac

While Im here: Im heading out on the boat for a few hours tomorrow, won't be going too far out into the bay. I believe the macks are still about. Anything else knocking around this time off year?
