Hey,
The TT Match or Supermatch would be ideal for the East Coast. I have 2 of the mark 1 TT Match rods and they will do everything you want on the East Coast plus the odd rough ground trip.
The super match has a lighter tip than the match but a stiffer butt. (there is a very good condition second hand one in Viking Tackle at the moment I think.)

I also have the mark 1 TT Sport and to be honest, bar really rough seas or lots of weed its overgunning for general fishing IMO.

I have a 2010 TT supermatch. All i can say is that it's a fantastic rod. It'll do anything you want it to do. I use it along with a Kompressor sport for most of my fishing and have never found it wanting even in the rough stuff
