If you fish the South Beach you can fish in front of the car park. Easy to keep an eye on then.

I've not had any hassle at ennareilly, but I've had some try get into my car at Wicklow harbour. As dfella said, just park in the car park and fish in front off your car. You will be fine, dont let the odd story put you off fishing!

I've heard reports that it's not safe but I have never had any trouble (maybe my car is so old they take pity on me). I'll be there tonight (Friday). Maybe see you there. I'll be the one with the 10lb bass.

I dont think it matters where u park ur car these scum are always on the lookout for any vehicles parked in quiet spots,i usually park at any bit of civilisation near my chosen fishing spot ,sometimes im putting a walk on my self but your car is a bit safer outside some house or building, use google earth to find a safe place near ur spot, lugging the gear is a pain but its worth it for piece of mind

arklow south beach is renowned for cars being done ! unfortunatly its a sign of the times louts with flip all else to do ,bring back the good old days when a young lad would get more slaps than a sumo wrestlers bottom if he was caught doing no good !!
