Bait: mack and squid
Rigs: pulleys, conger rig and feathers
Results: 1 mackrel 5 small coallies
Report: mate decided he wanted to head out fishing so we headed off to try and get bait. was too dark to dig anything, so went to sainsbury where you can normally buy fresh whole mackrel. they only had smoked fillets and fresh squid lol.
tried the smoked mackrel but tbh it was usless as expected lol fell off the hooks but smelt great! mate switched to squid and still nothing.
i fired on some feathers got a mackrel first cast that was quickly dispatched and used as bait. set up for conger using mackrel head but no luck
back on to the feathers and got about 5 or 6 small coallies.not great night but at least we caught something
off up the north coast now, hopefully have some better luck
