riding a bike scuppers a lot of my winter fishing plans as well, i dont mind standing in the cold and rain, but having to ride for an hour there and back combined with standing around in it all day can be really put you off, i should really get a car so at least the journey there and back will be dry.

also i dont see any reason why it wont work, blood is blood after all, and conger arent exactly picky about what they eat.

The funniest thing I seen was a woman with kids going after crabs, she had a kite string tied to a piece of stick... a heavy wheel nut tied to the kite string and tied a piece of bacon to it....She was hauling crabs up like there was no tomorrow... needless to sy , I had every bait possible mack, squid, rag, lug, razor just to mention a few,....and I didnt even get a tap!! :D hehehe so try anything these days and see what happens...
