should be covered surely ? I'd be surprised if they didn't exchange it for ya. I've only seen it happen with the cheaper rods . Had a Ron Thompson fly rod broke three in a row and they swapped for a shakespear. Ive seen plenty of Fladen rods snap

well the exact same thing happened me with a daiwa seahunter 12ft rod prob not in the same class as your rod!but a strong blank all the same supposedly!
first night out with it with a buddy took it out of the car couldnt wait to test it!my friend was looking over it seeing the stiffness etc and put small pressure on the top of the rod and it crumbled in 2 the top section completley shattered wtf  so astonished we were looking at eachother speechless!unbelievable so i didnt make it to a beach!with it!

so i brought the rod back to the shop not to happy eventually they did reluctantly replace it!but with the new replacement (same rod)3 eyes have broken on it now that rod cost close to 70 euro!only experience ive had with bad gear!but they should defo sort you out!

i just bought a daiwa prospinner and the cork handle split on my third retrieve. very disappointing as it felt great up till then. I bought it locally so I presume they will exchange.

Had guests arrive from Belgium today, seasoned travellers with rods packed in sturdy tubes and his new Ron Thompson rod lasted 3 casts.
He won it in a comp so at least did not pay for it!
