first aid kit , headlamp as said . Be sure to dress for the occasion , the cold can be a killer . I usually bring starlight for the rod tips . Elastic bands are great too

all depends on what you want to spend, i hear the petzl ultra is good
a good middle of the road lamp is the led lenser h7 or h7r, these can eat batteries but use the power as you need it and you should easily get a nights fishing out of them.
the cree lamps on ebay are supposed to be good. only used one once when my h7r packed in  and i borrowed it, they are very bright but some people have concerns on the quality. the h7r has a 3 year warranty and i got mine back good as new in a few days. upgraded to a speleo nova since tho and no complaints so far.

Apart from the Head lamps (most important) and a back up torch, and spare batteries, the rest depends on how long you want to stay out, as winter sets in with the storms etc... Ive recently invested in a good flotation suite, (not intending to go in swimming, BUT it keeps me very warm on the cold nights!!) And a good pair of warm socks! from time to time I'll bring the kettle and a small cooker for coffee and tea, Starlights for the rods (which means you can turn off your head lamp and watch the tips as your drinkin coffee), deffo Beach Buddy as keeps the bait out of the winds and yourself if your not busy reeling in whitting or codling :D, oh and as winter does set in, its always good to try and hook up with others headin out on the night, saftey in numbers should anything go strange! failing that a mobile phone ;)

Most important item of all: A good CD for the drive there. Because if you don't bring one, you can be absolutely certain of one thing: whatever piece of brain-rotting chart music you heard last will be playing in your head, over and over, over and over, all night long ...
