Hi all, new to the forum and only getting back into fishing since having a break for about 7 years,
Was out this morning to collect mussels but thought id have a look for some crabs whilst i was out, got plenty of mussels but my search for crabs was fruitless, found plenty of tiny little crab and a decent number of bigger velvet crabs but no peelers, im wondering if i was looking in the wrong area, should i be looking closer to the waters edge or further up the beach? I was in the Sutton/ Howth area,

hey man ive just moved up to that area myself and was out looking for peelers, plenty of thumbnail crabs but nuffin bigger than that. is it still the time to collect them? i just hate paying the 5 or 6 euro for frozen hard backs...
