hello im new to waterford city
does anyone know were i could go for a bit of fishing

thats not to far off from the city and is there any fishing shops that stay open late

dont know about fishing shops but bell view port can be good for cod from the end of october also the quay wall in the city has given up some fine cod over the years from end of oct till december hope this helps a bit

Open 9.30 to 17.30 mon to sat opposite Woodys on tramore road

As for fishing your only 10 mins from the coast and some great beaches

Travelling from Waterford to New Ross turn right for the Bellview Port road.

can i fish in the port itself and is that the long road the boy racers use off the new ross road

you cant fish the port itself but can fish up to the left at the old truck stop/car park then cross the tracks and away you go best to fish it on slack tides as the tide rips trough it
