swilly advice

hi lads,
heading up near letterkenny on sat for family holiday, looking for a good place to bring the kids float fishing doesnt matter what they catch as they would be happy with anything, was thinking rathmullen pier for a few mack?? also looking to target some decent thornies, or maybe a conger or 2 myself if i can sneak off one of the days on my own or would night be best for them would be very grateful if anyone could give me a bit of advice
