tope in poolbeg

lads i was fishing poolbeg durning the week and was talking to a bloke who said there was 2 tope got there last week from a comp with balbriggin s.a.c has anyone hard about this or do you think he was a bull shiter they were ment to be got about 150 yards up the wall and the biggest of the 2 was 27lb

Plenty of hounds alright, to 27lb - doubt it. Fished there since I was a kid and never saw nor heard of a Tope being caught.

!!! Me thinks someone may have gotten a smoothhound and called it a tope?? next thing ya know we'll be out looking for Great whites!!

just because none of you lads ever got one doesnt mean they dont turn up every now and then in fact the plaice is prob full of em ,gordy got a kite surfer on a crab bait one night and if i wasnt their i wouldnt have believed him they taste like chicken!

Hmmmm Kite Surfer!!! Yumm..... Hmmm I was drivin back from Poolbeg (no tope)

and seen a couiple of Kite Surfers of Dollymount...Crab you say.... getting the rods back out again..........
