Donegal Turbot

Hi folks, was wondering if anyone has caught turbot in and around Donegal :?:

Im living in Dunkineely but havent been there long..

I have never caught a turbot before so would appreciate any advice and techniques??

I will be out in a week or so fishing for a 2-3 day session... I will post my results..

never had a tubot in donegal - but they are common enough on sligo beaches - Trawee and dunmoran strand throws up a lot - though not of great size - i imagine they must also be about south donegal - sandeel or earthworms tipped with mack have worked for me

plenty of the surf beaches in donegal will throw you up turbot.there was some great turbot last year caught in donegal.il send you a pm

there is several beaches in donegal where turbot can be cought

Spesies 2012/ flounder, turbot, colie, whiting,thornback ray, dogfish, pollack, ballan wrasse, corcwing wrasse, dab, cod, sea trout, mackerel, smooth hound

Plenty off Culdaff beach though so far I have only caught small ones, best technique is ledgered sand eel.
2011 Species: 191lb Common Skate, Mackerel, Pollock, Spotted Ray, Spurdog, Thornback Ray, Tub Gurnard
