Report:took myself off to the same place i landed my pb bass. . .sea was like a sheet of glass so i didnt hold out much hope. had a few knocks, tho probably something swimming into the line. . .baits came in pretty much in the same condition they were put out. . 
figured it just wasnt to be, and headed home at high tide. . .

Hi Carp, i fish that area a lot, from dunany point to port beach and this year it has been the worst i've seen in 5 years.  Even local lads that i fish with from clogherhead are getting nothing.  There is a lot of "local gossip" going around that a boat was boarded by the navy around that area 2 weeks ago and that there was 80 bass on board, they were supposed to be freelining lures out the back of the boat and the boat was seen a lot in that area.  I have checked the fisheries board etc and seen nothing about it but one thing is for sure, nobody i know is catching anything.  But like i said, its local gossip and thats all it could be.

it was a lovely morning, as the foto shows. . .at least it made up for not catching anythin. . . as for boats, ya just wouldnt know what people are up to out there.
