land locked newbie!

#1 Post by pollocks »

Hi just recently took up sea fishing
After years on rivers, I live in kilkenny
So I am looking for advise on where
To go and what bait to use and what
can I expect to catch. I have fished
Slade head and brownstown head
Catching Macks and pollock just using
Light gear and spinning. Any advise
greatly appreciated.

The best way to learn about marks ,bait ,rigs and tactics is to join a club.
You will find the other club members more than willing to help and pass on the knowledge they have picked up over the years.
There are a number of clubs based in Wexford & Waterford that you might be interested in.

Hi Pollocks,

Im based in Kilkenny and do a large percentage of my sea angling down on the south Wexford coast. Im planning to get a few sessions in over the coming months in between salmon and trout expeditions so feel free to give me a pm and Ill see if I can help you out.
