In a word no. Proper diameter shock leaders to be used 0.75mm minimum for 150g,175g, and 0.65mm minimum for 100g,125g, with mimimum 8 odd turns or more on reel when ready to cast.
That is the accepted rules laid down by UKSF and followed by most clubs.
