Sharking

#1 Post by MS6964 »

Went for blue shark today off Youghal conditions great left Ferry Point 6.20am had rubby dubby made up from friday stopped east of Capel Island for a few fresh macs (my son Ryan 11 caught a cracking cod 7lbs which we released much to his dismay) proceeded 5 to 6 miles further out massive trail (five bags put out) continuous fising for macs and bottom fish etc. No sign of a Blue but at least Ryan is hooked Fantastic to be out there having a ball with my son just like my dad did with me. No run or no sign of a Blue but we had a ball. Thats what its all about.

Duration:Six hours

Tide:Tide High around 11.30

Weather:Probably too calm early on but westerly breeze gave agreat drift and the dubby trail was awesome but no take

Bait:Mackerel flappers

Rigs:

Results:Zero
