Ballyhornan Co Down
Hi guys pretty new to sea fishing and was going to give Ballyhornan a bash. Does anybody know the kind of species I am likely to catch. Cheers in advanced Kev

Re: Ballyhornan Co Down
Only started last year myself so good luck.
I was down Ballyhornan way 2 weeks ago and caught 3 mackerel, 15 coley and 1 pollock - all on feathers.
Head towards Ardglass and once you get past the horsehoe beach there are plenty of deep water marks.

Re: Ballyhornan Co Down
Nice one, always nice to catch something - I wasted a lot of time going at the wrong times and tides last year.
Best to try and fish the 2 hours up to the high tide and an hour after, seems better action then.
Also try http://easytide.ukho.gov.uk/EasyTide/Ea ... index.aspx to predict the tides.
Its free for predicting the next 7 days and is a good guide.
