hi lads,
i'm on the hunt for a pair of boots to suit my rock fishing.
ideally a higher lace up kind with a bit of ankle support, lined, water proof, steel shank in the sole.
i've been through the "fishing" types ie the mustads etc all of which dont last a season so i think its time to invest a few quid and get a good pair
there are countless numbers available so i thought i'd ask in here and see if anyone had something similar and would recommend to me.
i've dug these up so far

i'd seen them thanks but i'd seen them and this bit put me off
"prob that I do have is the sole although it has good grip it is a bit flimsy so if you do walk on a bit of a pointy stone or large rock you can feel it a bit"
my rocks marks a jagged so i stayed clear.

Re: Rock Boots
your best bet is a pair of para boot's..
i wear them all the time for fishing, shopping, drinking etc etc..
depending on which ones you get hold of you can get fleece lined ones, steel sole/toecap, padded..
I usually try get hold of the dutch army boots, well padded, past the ankle, waterproof, and a sole you wouldnt feel exactly what your standing on, even though you'd know you were on it!!
the only thing about them is breaking them in when you first get them.. its more they break your foot into them! but i find them as comfortable to wear which is the main thing
(most army surplus stores stock them)
