specimen claim.

#1 Post by lucky »

i was just reading through the irish specimen fish book tonight, about making a claim for a smoothound , in the book it says it must be weight on a certed scales ie, a shop or orther wise, that means if a specimen fish is caught it has to be killed in order to claim it,,,, not sure but am i right in what i read......surely a claim could be made either by photo and scales proof... i am in the dark regards the rules any help would be great.... thanks.........

No need to kill your fish, get your scales certified by the nsai, take a fin clip and photo of the dorsal fin for the smoothie.

All details on Irish trophy fish website.
