Fishing in East Cork!

#1 Post by wilky83 »

Hi guys haven't been on in awhile as I have been in Germany the last 4 months and starting to get terrible fishing withdrawal, I will be back in Ireland on the 17th of July for 1 month before I head off again to start a new job in Belgium. So i will be hitting the lure fishing with hard and soft plastics for bass, macks, pollack hard for the month, so what i am asking is are there any places fishing better than others of late? Also PM's welcome and as always and info will be kept close to my chest as some people on here can testify to ;)

Aint been fishing much from the shore but within and just ouside the harbour fishing is super? Well within distance from shore!

I've been diving and spearing along the east cork beaches and they seem better than last year, more bass, mullet, wrasse and flatties... pollock are a little slower to come back.

Any spots in particular? Most from roches point to knockadoon are all fishing well! Happy hunting!

Bass fishing using hard lures or big bass spinners is good lately along a lot of beaches in Cork.

I have found the best fishing is spinning when the sea is flat calm.

Hope this helps!
