Just a quick plea, and I hope it is no-one from this site. If you are targeting shore conger in North Clare please do not use stainless steel pennel 8/0 hooks, if you hook the fish and it snags it has no chance of survival. A twenty pounder was landed in a recent competition with a trail of line and wire trace well in its mouth.
The Truth is often stumbled upon by men, most of whom pick themselves up and hurry along as if nothing ever happened.
