Enniscrone beach

#1 Post by magpie01 »

Hi I have recently just starting fishing and I am going down to Enniscrone this weekend and I hope to do a bit of fishing on the beach. I have heard that it is good for sea trout, bass and plaice. Could anyone tell me what bait would be best to use?

Thanks

i would say those species are IFI terminology "occasional"

very rarely hear of any of those getting caught

your more than likely going to be targeting flounder for the day and the odd rougue turbot

bring lug and mack with you

From my experience flounder would be the most common species caught. There are also a decent number of trout, never had a plaice there but i have had bass. As corbyeire said..lug and mack are the best but sandeel can be handy too!
