What spinners do you use for Gars?
What retrieve speed should use?
Any tricks?

A small lure such as a 18g Dexter wedge or 18g Toby, many other similiar ones. You would probably have to change the trebles to size 4's.

As for spinning for them try all different depths until you find where they are feeding, this could involve a retrieve and then a pause for 2 seconds to let the lure drop. Not the easiest to catch on a lure but if you get a bit of white nylon cord and unravel it so that it has the texture of Dolls hair  and tie 2" onto the split ring the gars teeth get stuck on it increasing your hook ups.

A gar basically sees his target, traps it at the point of its beak and then trys to swallow.
