Has anyone been fishing the harbour?
I went out on sat nite to ennareily to be met with good 15 ft waves which wer breaking a good 70-80 meters out from the beach. So I packed up after setting my rod up and only having one cast. I decided to try Wicklow harbour as it was real sheltered, I'm just making this post as I am looking to see what can be caught here.
Between me and my 2 mates we had loads off codling, whiting, seriously big dogs and a scorpion fish. There was loads off gar fish just on the surface and some off them looked quite decent. One of the dogs I caught was well over 3lb. Is that the norm down there?
Also wanting to know if smoothies and Tope can be caught off there? As it seems a real nice spot if the wind or the sea is up
