Need advice please
Anyone out there that could tell me what size rod would suit my 12 yr old for the beach was thinking maybe a 10 ft but not too sure thanks in advance for suggestions. John

It depends on his size and when you are fishing. I used a 9ft beach caster at that age. Maybe a good bass rod might suit. A good tackle shop should be able to help you

Have a look at the Shimano Catana cx Spin. its 10ft. €60ish or the leeda bass 10ft for about the same price.

Leeda bass rod is lovely but the rings are poor. They crack easily. I have had to replace all the rings on mine.

mustad viking bass rod 1-4oz 11ft6 - i had a young cousin of mine use it and he was 12yr old - he had great time lashing out 3oz and bait. its light and easy bent. we had a 6000 size fixed spool on it.
