Best bait and rigs for flats?

what is the best bait and best rigs to use for flats, plaice,dabs,flounder, etc.

It can depend where you are.
Bait - generally crab , rag or maddies are best, but lug will work as well
Rigs - again depends where you are, but also strength of tide. The strength/height would affect the length of snood you use.
A 3 hook flapper with size 1 hooks (or whatever your preference) will work as a general rule

2 or 3 foot fluocarbon 1 end with size 2 hook with anythink(crab,worm macco etc)
other end with swiwel (not to big one) to attach main line(10-15) it depens of the mark).
other hand of swiwel,on the main line: 1 bead-weight(free line-with wired or not again it depends of the mark)
if you add on same colour beads and some flasher to the floocarbon line your success will comes quicer than you thught)
