Morriscastle

#1 Post by Hagar the Horrible »

Ho

Just wondering if Morriscastle is still a popular/worthwhile spot these days. I've fished it twice after 10 pm recently and there hasn't been anyone else out. I could see a few headlights further up at Ballinoulart alright, but when I used to fish regularly 15 yrs ago or so this was one of the main venues. Do people still fish it or do they head for Tinnebearna if the'yre that far down.

cheers
Hagar

Tons of fish on it, just not the most sought after. Treble dogs and flats off it in bright sunshine the other morning. Mostly flounder, dab, pups, mini whiting and dogs any time ive been there this past few weeks.
Fluff chucking is the new black..... Rampant Wreckfish is a fly angler in denial :D

yeah got a few pups too, only about 8 inches long though
It used to be a premier bass beach years ago but it sounds like they've moved on.
