Sufix Tritanium question?
Lads ordered 2 spools. 1 20lb yellow and 1 15lb red. Yellow one says 20lb and .40mm which sounds right but the red one says 19lb and .35mm. Have read that they changed this as its the "true" breaking strain but why doesnt the yellow one say 24lb. Probably a bit of a pointless question and wont make a hell of a lot of difference. Just curious!
Great line though.

Re: Sufix Tritanium question?
I think you probably anwsered your own question ! I have never had any problems with the tritanium myself, great line. I think most people still buy their line by diameter. The more expensive shimano lines are worth it if you are a fixed Spooler looking for max distance over clean ground.Jayball10 wrote:Lads ordered 2 spools. 1 20lb yellow and 1 15lb red. Thanks John. Yeh was just wondering did I get the correct line I ordered. Can I take it that most 20lb will be .40 and 15lb .35?JOHN LYNCH wrote:I think you probably anwsered your own question ! Re: Sufix Tritanium question?
Pretty much yes but if the tritanium is similar to suffix synergy then the 15lb line will have a lower diameter, not sure exactly off hand what it is but I know it's less than .35mm. Personally I wouldn't like to go lower than .35mm so although you may not of got what you ordered I'd stick with the 19lb.

Re: Sufix Tritanium question?
I was told that the line is still the same but the calibration of how they measure breaking strain has been altered. I use the .35mm 19lb all the time on some pretty rough marks and have never had any trouble with it.

Thanks lads for responses. Yeh gonna stick with it of course. Ive been experimenting around with a good few different lines over the last year and this beats them all. Excellent line lay and knot strength.
