I have been using them for years and i make my own from used plastic containers which i cut to shape and attach on to a long leed led shank very useful for rocky and kelp areas and the faster you retrieve the higher up the led comes i sometimes had them skimming across the top of the water with fish underneath
I have not fished in two years hoping to change that this year with anything ?

i use lead lifers on rough ground marks and they do work .but find that casting distance is reduced so if u want to fish at long distance i would take the chance of getting a snag and not put them on.
