Interested to know has anyone stated getting hounds yet in the 5lb plus bracket?

hey sod none of that size but have had a few dogfish size ones off beaches around courtown last weekend falling to frozen crab and squid cocktails, and hey i can only cast 80-100 meters max, but remember you casting lads when you pass half way to wales it starts to get shalower :mrgreen:

Only had a fey dog size pups. All taking rag tipped with squid.
Species 2011:coalie,whiting, 5bearded rockling,shore rockling, doggie, pollock,flounder,codling,dab,smoothhound,sea scorpion,ballan wrasse,Tope, tub gurnard, gray gurnard,plaice,bass,Bullhuss,cod

Species 2012:coalie,doggie,codling,shore and 5bearded rockling,3bearded rockling,pouting,whiting,wrasse,bass,plaice,flounder,dab,smoothhound,hiss,tope,cod,tub and gray gurnard,Pollack

Species 2013:Double figure smoothy off the beach,doggie,gray gurnard,codling,goalie,flounder,plaice,whiting,tope. Double figure huss off the beach,dab, bass,pouting,silver eel.

Hitting a beach over the weekend, hope for a few hounds but ill make do with a bass :wink:
