Wicklow/Wexford?
I'm hoping to head down to Wicklow, or Wexford next week. Anyone got any suggestions for a decent spot at this time of year? only got into shore angling last year, and my casting is'nt great, so i'm looking for somewhere that i wo'nt have to hit the horizon to find some depth, fish. Thanks all....
Entries now open for the All Ireland Shore Cod Championships on November 29th hosted by Sea Angling Ireland SAC

Re: Wicklow/Wexford?
Hi stonefish the tides are not great next weekend for night fishing. HT on Friday 22nd is about 3:30pm and dropping until 9pm for Wicklow/Arklow area. But will do for some day fishing around Ennereilly or Arklow south beach. Both beaches will produce fish in close with any worm/mac baits. You might have a chance of bass from Ennereilly and even a pup smooth hound too without any big casts. Arklow will throw up any amount of flounder for you.

Re: Wicklow/Wexford?
Sound Dfella, thanks for the digout. I was looking at early next week, maybe Monday18th or Tues19th, i had a look at the tides, LT around 6ish, HT around midnight. Thats going by the Dublin tides, i'm not sure of the difference in time between Wex and Dub. But either of the 2 beaches you suggested sound good. I'll let ya know how it went. Thanks again.

Re: Wicklow/Wexford?
Just a word of warning, as I was reminded yesterday as it happens. We had a club comp in Arklow last year and a few of the car windows were smashed in. Now granted it was possibly only one fool in the whole town but it was done late at night. I'm sure day time fishing would be fine if that's your plan.
