donegal

im heading to donegal next month maybe try and fish portsalon or fahan and i wonder if anybody would be able to tell me the time difference for tides compared to belfast so i can work out what day would be best to go.

You won't go too far wrong with the Rathmullan tide times http://easytide.ukho.gov.uk/Easytide/Ea ... onLength=7

The difference is approximately -5 hours if you don't wish to go by the above link.

when i was up there i used to fish portsalon harbour.got nice little surprises off it too :mrgreen:

Your probably better leaving it a month or 2 as fishing is really poor at the minute!! We fished a master angler comp on Portsalon Beach last week and the fishing was awful!! Leenan Pier would probably be your best bet with the Plaice starting to show! Its the middle of May before the Raymonds start to show in any numbers!! Tide tables for 2011 can be found on the link below. Just double click on the area that you are fishing and it will give the tides for the coming year. :wink:

ok thanks i might leave it as my 5 year old daughter is tortureing me that she wants to go with me next time i go somewhere different as she is fed up catching the usual fish wants to try for something different so back to the drawing board to arrange my trip away have to consider where i can take her.
